“Snoopermarkets” And A Reality Show Directed To The Hood? It’s A Doggy-Dogg World

As the bevy of new talent search reality shows (The Voice, the launch of the American X-Factor, and
Que Viva,
to name a few) hitting the scene lack much in the department of hardcore cool, Snoop Dogg has finally come up with a solution. In the U.K. to promote the launch of his 11th studio album, Doggumentary, our favorite O.G. rapper informed the
Guardian
that he wants to join the fray and shop around the idea of a talent contest reality show "straight directed to the hood" to find the next big hip-hop star. Amidst the requisite clouds of smoke and scantily-clad pole dancers, Snoop fielded questions from reporters he assembled at a private gentleman's club in central London, giving his thoughts on pop star Cheryl Cole ("She alright. She doing her thing."), and branching out into the supermarket world ("I'm going to call them Snoopermarkets."). If anyone's got a Dogg in the fight for pimptastic supermarket chains and search for the next rap superstar, it would be Snoop. But is he serious? We'll just have to wait and see. (LAist)
