Celebrate One Year Of Public Bikes With A Picnic And Photo Contest!

It’s no secret that we’re major fans of Public Bikes’ ultra-chic cycles (check out our interview with founder Rob Forbes), so if you’re like us, and jonesing for more of these majorly stylish spokes—listen up! The South Park-based company is throwing a jam-packed picnic party this weekend in celebration of its one-year anniversary. And we guarantee the bike bash will be a blast. First off, food and drinks will be provided by tasty neighboring shop The American Grilled Cheese Kitchen and the party will also feature bike races, sweet deals on apparel, and a chance for guests to win a weekend at luxurious hotels across the country (including the Clift and h2hotel in Healdsburg). And...the fun doesn’t stop there; local food writer Marcia Gagliardi, of Tablehopper fame, will sign her latest book, The Tablehopper’s Guide to Dining and Drinking in San Francisco, and there will be a big photo contest to go with it all! Check out the official rules for the bike-themed photo throw-down here, and we'll see you at South Park this weekend!
RSVP: Here!
When: Saturday, July 9, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Where: Public Bikes, 123 South Park Street (between Bryant and Brannan streets); 415-896-0123.
