If you happened to have stumbled across the
Maison Champs-Elysées
website this morning during your coffee-and-internet-scan (you chic Parisian thing!), you no doubt noticed the hotel is currently closed for renovation, re-opening in February. Pourquoi?, you ask? Apparently the iconic
Maison Martin Margiela
has been commissioned to redesign the whole shebang, and it's one of the most intense interior design projects to be undertaken in recent history. Bernadette Chevallier, hotel président defined the vision as one of "purity of form matched with amazing detailing, in a corner of Paris which gathers all the most prestigious French couture houses." Ca, c'est du lux! Consider our next vacation booked.
