Someone call Jeffrey Deitch because we just saw the future of art, and it's adorbs! The latest, cutest school of painting just cropped up from down under where a cat rescue center in Wagga Wagga, New South Wales has come up with a squee-tastic way of raising funds to help stray felines find good homes. Dabbing the 'lil paws of their charges in colorful paint, the curators of Rescue Cat Art let their four-legged abstractionists roam wild over canvases, then sell their masterworks to underwrite the veterinary, housing, and food costs. While these budding, tailed creators can't sign their names to their art, we have to say that we haven't seen such mastery of color and prodigious display of fur in one place since Julian Schnabel. Kidding aside, it's a great, huggable cause, and you should head over to their Facebook page to peep more pieces and make a donation. (Daily Mail)
