There's no doubt that the Mondrian boasts one of the best views in Miami. And now, their in-house restaurant, Asia de Cuba, is giving us yet another reason to spend long hours in gorgeous South Beach property: They've relaunched their newly revamped dinner menu, opting to keep their namesake style of Asian/Latin fusion they've conquered with subtle mastery. Some of the standout dishes include wild salmon and salted avocado helado with spicy coconut milk, bird's-eye pepper, and black lava salt; crispy octopus ajillo with caramelized garlic, sake, and pickled lychee; spiny lobster and hearts-of-palm cajou with aged soy, lime, cashews, sultanas, brown butter, and an herb salad; braised oxtail and kimchee-steamed dumplings with spiced calabaza threads and mango ponzu; and chicken "MilanAsia" with panko and a mizuna, arugula, and radicchio salad drizzled with sherry soy dressing. Believe us — after all that, you're going to need something to wash it down. We recommend grabbing a cocktail made by house mixologist, Angelo Vieira. We suggest the chili caipirinhas or berry mojitos...okay, actually, we want both! And you will, too.
