“Occupy” might’ve been the buzzword of the latter half of last year, but even if the movement itself has died down a bit, the sentiment behind it is still alive and well. The frenzy heats up again this Saturday at the All In For The 99% event, which brings together artists, musicians, and activists for a socially conscious rally for the economic majority.
Among the activities on offer: an aerial art show, a Funny or Die film screening, readings from narrative journalism mag Slake: Los Angeles, and an art gallery of Occupy-inspired works from artists David Ellis, Retna, and Shepard Fairey.

And lest you think the 99% in the name is just for show, know this: Activist and former White House advisor Van Jones will be on hand to speak, and the event is sponsored by groups like MoveOn and Occupy the Dream. The art on display will also be up for sale, with proceeds going to progressive economic group Rebuild the Dream. So, whether you want to jump into the artistic or political discourse (or both), go ahead and show up, and stand proud with the 99%.

When: Saturday, March 31, from 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Where: Ace Museum, 200 South La Brea Avenue (at West 4th Street); 323-965-8200.
