Oh, Monday. Our weekend somehow zipped by, and here you are — again. And, since more than a few of us stayed up to watch the Golden Globes in its entirety last night, there are lots of sleepy-eyed editors at R29 HQ this morning. But, if you're in the same boat, then you're in luck. Because, we can't think of a better way to ring in the start of a brand-new workweek than with an outfit that's just as chic as it is cozy.
This relaxed boyfriend-cardigan getup from Michael Kors' pre-fall '14 collection is just what we need to cure our serious case of the Mondays. It's got all the tomboy glamour we've come to expect from the designer, but with an undoubtedly feminine take on the menswear-inspired knit. To get the look, pair an oversized, sky-blue sweater with a white, printed dress, then cinch the waist with a thin, black belt. Embellish the outfit with ladylike accessories like a crystal brooch, pastel nail lacquer, and classic black heels for a relaxed style that still looks totally put-together (even if it only took a few minutes to assemble!). Next up: our morning coffee — make that a double espresso, please.
