It's been three years since Adele dropped her monumental album 21, and fans of the British belter have been craving new material ever since. Well, we have some good news. According to Oh No They Didn't, Adele's long-awaited follow-up is already complete, and it could drop at any moment.
After Beyonce stunned the world by releasing her latest, self-titled album without warning, the move has been very on trend, with artists like Pharrell and Jay Z following suit. According to sources, Adele's latest is slated to be called 25 and "could be released tomorrow if she wanted."
"The plan is to release internationally on iTunes as a complete surprise without any previous promotion or build-up publicity campaign," the source added.
Only the biggest artists in the world can eschew the traditional promotional build-up that precedes the release of an album, and Adele definitely qualifies. Her last effort produced some of the biggest hits of the decade and earned the singer six, count 'em, six Grammys. While nothing has been officially confirmed, the summer of Adele seems to be upon us. (Oh No They Didn't!)
