The Golden Globes is certainly doing its part to win the ol' Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon game. The Hollywood Foreign Press Association just announced that Sosie Bacon, the actor's daughter, will be 2014's Miss Golden Globe. The title is typically given to an offspring of a celebrity every year — past honorees include Dakota Johnson and Rumer Willis — but Sosie's got some acting chops of her own. She made her Hollywood debut back in 2005 with the film Loverboy, and also appeared alongside mom Kyra Sedgwick in The Closer.
The official announcement was made last night at an InStyle party, where HFPA President Theo Kingma made the oft-used quip. "As we all know, she comes from a very talented family and this gets us one degree closer to Kevin Bacon," he told the crowd. She's certainly a lucky lady, but the best part about the honorary gig? Getting to share the stage with Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, of course. Let the countdown to January begin. (People)
