Hey Kid, Girls’ Adam Driver Is A Model Now

Oh, so this is what Adam Driver (a.k.a. Adam Sackler) does when he's not using his bare hands to construct a wooden dining-room/bed combo out of misery on Girls. We've become so accustomed to seeing Adam in musty T-shirts and a questionable level of personal hygiene that we almost didn't recognize him in Gap's new campaign. Lena Dunham should take note, this guy cleans up well.

Gap nabbed the actor to star alongside Dree Hemingway in its Back to Blue fall ad series. The brand is returning to its denim roots, and will add TV spots to the autumn collection for the first time in four years. (They abandoned television for Facebook ads in 2009). It appears that Gap and Girls are having a threesome; in addition to Driver, Jenn Rogien, the show's costume designer, will be hosting a series of mini style-advice videos.

It's Driver who's the real breakout here. Not only is he fronting Gap, he's also in Vogue (above), where Annie Leibovitz shot him in a more familiar fashion: rugged, sweaty, and shirtless. If you ask us, he looks great either way. And who knows? Since Girls is based off Dunham's life, perhaps an episode on his newfound fame isn't too far off. (Telegraph)
