But it seems apropos when discussing Broken Shaker, a temporary cocktail lounge hidden within the Indian Creek Hotel. The team behind the boutique bar are mixologist masterminds Gabe Orta and Elaz Zvi, better known as BarLab, whose focus (as usual) is on hand-crafted cocktails. You'll find the menu at this sexy, hidden boite is small and favors bespoke drinks based on one's preferred spirits and favorite flavor profiles. Our recommendation is to go with the Daily Punch. For $70 it serves 4-8 guests and you choose you alcohol, fruit, and botanical for a custom-made potion that's worth the hangover. One drink and you'll understand why this temporary Shangri La-like garden watering hole already achieved cult status with the city's young, savvy tastemakers. Two drinks and you'll understand why Broken Shaker will, well, break many hearts when they have their last call. But that's a few months away and for now we'll savor the moment and some of their punch.
