An apprentice craftsman by age fourteen, Franco Sarto began his career by hand-finishing shoes with a hammer and nail in his hometown of Dolo, Italy. In his early twenties, he moved to Stra - the epicenter of Italian shoe design - to open his own studio and, shortly after, launch his eponymous brand. His start as a cobbler - combined with his designer vision - makes Sarto a rarity in the industry.
