We're going to go out on a limb here and say that Hocus Pocus is THE best Halloween movie of all time. Not only does it provide the ultimate nostalgia, but it features Kathy Najimy, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Bette Midler in what is some of their greatest work. The Sanderson Sisters are the perfect mix of quirky, crazy, and hilarious, and who could forget about that hottie Thackery Binx? (The real guy, not the cat version, you sickos). So, when we got word that a lucky group of fans had the chance to attend a special screening and party to celebrate the film's 20th anniversary, we were all kinds of jealous.
Members of D23 (a.k.a. the Disney fan club) were treated to an awesome display of props before the show, including the black-flame candle, the witches' uniforms, and even the infamous spell book. Oh, and the fans had photo opps with members of the original cast, including Kathy Najimy, Thora Birch, and Vinessa Shaw. In short, Salem, Massachusetts basically came alive on a backlot in Burbank, and it was nothing short of magical.
