M.I.A.’s ‘Bring The Noize’ Is A Sonic Explosion Of Freedom Cries

Grab your headphones, click play, and prepare yourself: One of 2013's loudest bangers M.I.A. dropped "Bring the Noize" today and any trace of positivity her label told her to "darken up a bit" when she first previewed her upcoming album, Matangi, has disappeared in deep bass lines and glitched out synths. Pop's renegade personality is angry, and she's not afraid to bang it out and spit fire.
Sonically, Maya has returned to her Arular days and infusing it with her message of music freedom. She's coming at the zeitgeist with guns blazing and enough ammo to wage an aural revolution for years to come — her single has appropriately surfaced in the wake of our country's recent intelligence revelations. "If I didn’t get it out right now, I would’ve definitely exploded," she said in an interview with BBC Radio 1 earlier today. "Bring the Noize" is merely the pin M.I.A.'s pulled from the Matangi grenade that's set to explode later this year.
