While there's always a heavy emphasis on the clothes that come walking down the runway, the most astute NYFW attendees know to look down. Lower. Past the hemlines. Yes, there. At the shows this week, there was plenty to celebrate as far as footwear is concerned. In fact, five designers presented their very first shoe collections that are shaping up to be your next obsession.
Presenting a whole new ready-to-wear collection and debuting a shoe line at the same time is no easy feat. And, the designers ahead each chose a difference course. Some collaborated with storied brands, like Louboutin, or exciting initiatives like Aldo Rise. Others crafted in-house labels to serve as an extension of their sartorial identity.
