Band Break Ups Like Zayn Malik One Direction

Brother, can you spare a tissue? Our hearts are still heavy following Zayn Malik's major One Direction shake-up this week. You know, I know, you know he was your favorite 1D-er.

We've been here before, though. Suddenly one of your favorite musicians quits their band, and is swiftly replaced by some imposter you can't help eyeballing with the mistrust of a mistreated stepchild. Or, they aren't replaced at all, but continue to haunt the stage like a phantom. Life is just so unfair.

While we hope Zayn and his former bandmates work things out, experience tells us not to get our hopes up. Behold, a few other music stars who broke up the band (and stomped on our hearts).
