Born In 1928: Travel Back In Time For Cole Haan’s Latest Campaign

We've always loved Cole Haan for its ability to consistently churn out updates on classic silhouettes. Want new oxfords? You'll undoubtedly fall in love with the modern touches the brand has lent such a traditional shoe. Smoking slippers? These conjure images of romantic countrysides and English hideaways — not mothballs and aspic recipes.
You see, Cole Haan's never had a problem harking back to history. So, it comes as no surprise that its latest campaign pays respect to some highly acclaimed figures who were born in 1928 — the same year the label was founded.
Famed poet Maya Angelou, model China Machado, puppy-obsessed photographer Elliott Erwitt, and astronaut Jim Lovell were all styled by Tiina Laakkonen for the shoot, lensed by Daniel Jackson. But, the nostalgia doesn't end there.
