If there’s one acronym that comes to mind when you think of San Francisco’s Folsom Street Fair, it would have to be "NSFW." This past Sunday, the annual BDSM event was celebrated by almost 400,000 people throughout 13 city blocks in S.F.’s SoMa district. Since kicking off in 1984, the event has attracted thousands of leather and fetish enthusiasts each year.
"I feel like everyone comes here to enjoy themselves and feel free," Natanael Gonzalez, a fairgoer wearing tiny leather undies, explained to SF Gate. "Everyone here is nonjudgmental. We wear costumes and dance and live truly for ourselves. It makes me want to get spanked."
