Calling All Artists: Lollapalooza Wants YOU!

2
If you could design an official Lollapalooza T-shirt, what would it look like? That’s not a rhetorical question, so pick up a pen and start doodling — the festival’s organizers want to see what you come up with. This year, the juggernaut fest is calling on artists and graphic designers to submit artworks inspired by Lollapalooza. The winner’s work will be interpreted for a T-shirt design that will be sold on Lolla grounds — and the rockin’ perks don’t end there.
There will be two contest winners, selected by Lolla staffers and by the general public via online voting. The “Lollapalooza’s Choice” winner gets two VIP tickets to the big event, and his or her work will gain some major exposure on festival grounds and online. The “People’s Choice” winner gets two general-admission passes to the fest (which is nothing to sneeze at!), along with social media exposure.
So, since you’ve already got your pen out, take a second to jot down these contest rules: All submissions must be received by March 8. To participate, artists can hop over to the official website and follow the rules for submission. Select submissions will be put online for fan voting on March 9 and will remain up through March 16. As for the grand unveiling, the winner will be officially announced on March 19. Granted, Lollapalooza is a little while away...151 days, but who’s counting? But if you ask us, it’s never too early to start planning your rock-star look. And more props to you if you can design your own.
