2013 is really shaping up to be quite a doozy — it has barely been a week and the restaurant scene is chattering with new additions. Well, there’s another buzzy, much-anticipated spot joining neighborhood newbie The American Grilled Cheese Kitchen on the hot 20th Street strip. Just down the street, S.F.’s superstar bartending crew, The Bon Vivants, are debuting their long-awaited cocktail bar, Trick Dog, which is now open for your boozing pleasure.
Yes, the day has finally arrived! The industrial-style drinking den is nestled adjacent to Central Kitchen and Salumeria, and boasts an airy, factory-like space with oversized windows, steel-framed lights, and one-of-a-kind art. In addition to a full-service bar, packed with handmade, innovative cocktail choices, you’ll also be able to score some late-night eats (Fernet Mint Chip ice cream, anyone?). Bonus: The venue offers these delicacies until 2 a.m. — a rarity here in S.F. Also, every cocktail will have a special design-driven element and is structured and named after hues in the Pantone Color Guide. Okay, is it 5 p.m. yet? We’re ready to imbibe at this hotspot, like now!
Trick Dog, 3010 20th Street (at Florida Street); 415-471-2999.
