DJ Induce Will Make You Feel Good (& Pretty)

We're jamming to DJ Induce's newly released album, Halfway Between Me and You, which takes us back to a simpler time, like when Prince's "When Doves Cry" was playing on repeat on 93.9 MIA.
The Miami-born-and-raised artist has become a regular in the local music scene, performing at venues like Cafeina, Grand Central, and Wood Tavern by night and perusing (we can tell by his Instagram shots) plenty of vinyl record stores by day. He's now going under a new moniker, The Wonderful Sound of Induce, and can be heard singing on an 11-track record that's a bit more soulful, a bit more disco, a bit mellower, and a lot more fun. Two of the songs ("Cover Girl" and "Livin' In The Future") feature Jack Splash, whom has two Grammys under his belt and has collaborated with Solange Knowles, Alicia Keys, John Legend, and Cee Lo Green.

The rest of the tracks are reflective of Induce's influencers — The Beach Boys, Ray Charles, and Bobby Brown, among others — and so is his style. We're digging the bow ties, plaid hats, double-breasted jackets, and not-so-subtle pops of color.
What's on repeat right now? "Pretty," the first single off of the album, is seriously making us glad that the weekend has arrived.
