20 Fall Launches At Sephora Our Beauty Editors Are Loving

We're not in the business of telling anyone to stow away summer's lightweight foundations, coral lipsticks, and waterproof mascaras, but we also have a hard time resisting all the new products launching at Sephora this season. Nothing says fall like cooler temperatures and a whole new beauty routine, right?
Always on the hunt for innovative formulas to make our lives a little easier and less stressful, the editors at R29 did our due diligence to find the cream shadows that last through torrential downpours, tinted balms that look far chicer than lipstick, and foolproof base makeup that won't accentuate dryness. (In other words, all the things you want for fall.)

“If you want to test the real longwear ability of an eyeliner, I highly recommend wearing it to a Frank Ocean set in the middle of July. I danced, cried, dripped sweat, cried again — and it didn't move. Even after a vigorous oil cleaning, I was still picking it out of my lower lashline the next day.” — Cat Quinn, beauty director

Milk Makeup Eye Pigment in Royal Blue, $24, available at Sephora.

“If you're into something sweet, this balm smells — and tastes — just like a candy apple. But unlike the real thing, it’s not sticky or tacky and, as expected, leaves your lips soft and plump.” — Megan Decker, beauty intern

Fresh Sugar Lip Caramel Hydrating Balm, $18, available at Sephora.

“Like a face mask, scalp scrubs can help whisk away product build-up or dead cells sitting on the surface of your skin — and yeah, I realize how unsexy that sounds. Bringing the sexy back, though, is this bottle of finely-ground walnut shells and peppermint oil goodness, which smells just as dreamy as the formula feels on your head.” — Kelsey Castañon, beauty news editor

IGK Low Key Cleansing Walnut Scalp Scrub, $36, available at Sephora.

“This collagen-rich serum is the perfect marriage of science and luxury. The formula is made up of thousands of micro-bubbles filled with omega fatty acids suspended in a collagen gel base that penetrate deep into your skin to deliver hydration and plumpness — and it just so happens to look like rare and expensive gold caviar. I'm on my second bottle and can't get enough of how bouncy it makes my skin and how fun it is to massage on." — Alix Tunell, senior beauty editor

Algenist Genius Liquid Collagen, $115, available at Sephora.

"I rocked half this 12-shade palette on my eyes when I was in Miami and felt hotter than Rihanna in the "Wild Thoughts" video. Luckily, it made mastering the sunset eye trend super easy — all the colors I needed were in one place — and the warm hues made my brown eyes pop so much, I wouldn't even flinch paying the full price." — Sam Sasso, beauty editorial assistant

Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette, $54, available at Sephora.

"I am way overdue for a haircut right now, but a quarter-sized amount of this lightweight repairing treatment, worked through my lengths and ends after towel-drying, turns my straw-like hair soft, shiny, and healthy-looking." — Rachel Krause, beauty news writer

Bumble and bumble Bb. Save The Day Daytime Protective Repair Fluid, $45, available at Sephora.

“I'm too lazy to use different concealers on different areas of my face, so having one that works all over is a must. I tap this one under my eyes, around my nose, and on top of any blemishes then set it with powder." — Mi-Anne, beauty writer

Benefit Cosmetics Boi-ing Airbrush Concealer, $20, available at Sephora.

“Aside from the smug satisfaction of carrying a Tom Ford lip balm, there is something about this that's better than my go-to drugstore pick. It's the perfect tint of color, goes on smooth but doesn't look too glossy, and really does moisturize my lips. But, if I'm being honest, the best part is the reactions I get from people when I pull the teeny, impossibly chic white-bullet out of my bag.” — Cat Quinn

Tom Ford Clutch-Size Lip Balm, $36, available at Sephora.

“This tinted moisturizer is what I like to call my lazy, look-semi-put-together-while-doing-nothing-on-weekends product. One drop of the stuff hydrates, protects with SPF 40, and leaves behind a subtle color that adjusts to your natural skin tone.” — Kelsey Castañon

Origins GinZing SPF 40 Energy-Boosting Tinted Moisturizer, $38, available at Sephora.

“I don't know if Sephora is peeping my Instagram flat lays, but it really does seem like this set was curated specifically to me. This is exactly what I take on every business trip or vacation — whether I want to scrunch in messy beach waves (Verb), break up curls (Amika), get smooth air-dried waves (IGK), or give my blowout a second wind (Drybar). I'm telling you, I really use and swear by everything in this set…” — Cat Quinn

Sephora Favorites Instant Texture Dry Styling Spray Collection, $32, available at Sephora.

"Water bottles aren't necessarily beauty, but considering most celebrities attribute some good 'ol H20 for their supple skin, we can't deny our intrigue. On the low, these water bottles are just trendy, make me feel chic, have a slanted handle that fits comfortable in my hand so I can carry it with me everywhere." — Samantha Sasso

bkr Spiked Molly Glass Water Bottle, $40, available at Sephora.

"If we spoke about the beauty industry in militaristic terms, Kiehl's would be a veteran and this Ultra Facial Cream is certainly no cadet. It's the one cream that works on every skin type, offering the just-right dose of hydration. I've loved it for so long, I used to steal it from my friend in college." — Sam Sasso

Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cream, $27.50, available at Sephora.

“When it comes to base makeup, I'm more of a BB cream kind of gal, but I would make an exception for this new foundation. It's a medium coverage finish, but feels way more comfortable on skin than most matte foundations. It's so good, you won't even need concealer to hide bumps or redness.” — Megan Decker

Milk Makeup Blur Liquid Matte Foundation, $40, available at Sephora.

“When ABH's Subculture Palette first launched, it was met with a lot of mixed feelings. Some people claimed the palette was chalky, and while I'll admit it's a little more powdery than most, this fella is super pigmented — like so pigmented you'll end up with a black eye if you don't use a light hand. That's why it's best suited to eyeshadow lovers and makeup pros.” — Mi-Anne Chan

Anastasia Beverly Hills Subculture Palette, $42, available at Sephora.

“I hate sticky, aerosol sunscreens almost as much as I hate heavy foundations that take forever to rub in. This mineral spray is a solid choice because it actually feels moisturizing on application and sinks right into skin." — Megan Decker

Supergoop 100% Mineral Sunscreen Mist with Marigold Extract Broad Spectrum, $34, available at Sephora.

“What do you do when you want your makeup to take up less space in your medicine cabinet, cover every last blemish on your face, last a full work day even in peak humidity — all while doing as close to nothing as possible? This. You use this.” — Kelsey Castañon

Stila Stay All Day Foundation + Concealer, $40, available at Sephora.

"I recently destroyed my ends with bleach in the name of wanting to be A Blonde, but this styling cream has brought it back to life. For days, it was as stiff as straw, but this lightweight cream makes it look healthy even though it's damaged as hell. The innovative part of the product: You can re-use the formula on second-day hair to add instant texture to your sleek style." — Sam Sasso

Living Proof T.B.D. Multi-Tasking Styler, $26, available at Sephora.

“Hands down, this is the most foolproof shadow formula. Why? You can swipe this on with your fingers, then forget about it for the rest of the night once it sets. Plus, Spice and Burnished Copper are two absolutely perfect shades I'm always trying to find in other collections and never quite do." — Alix Tunell

Tom Ford Cream Color For Eyes, $46, available at Sephora.

"My skin has been going through a rough patch this summer, which may or may not have anything to do with my steady diet of margaritas and… margaritas. This moisturizer — inspired by the brightening, thoroughly exfoliating magic of the O.G. ExfoliKate scrub — has done wonders for giving me a bit of much-needed glow, and helps keep clogged pores at bay, too." — Rachel Krause

Kate Somerville ExfoliKate Glow Moisturizer, $65, available at Sephora.

“Unlike Estée Lauder's classic Double Wear Foundation, which has insanely high coverage, the brand's newest formula offers a sheer, yet buildable, finish that doesn't feel like a mask on the face — even in 80% humidity.” — Mi-Anne Chan

Estée Lauder Double Wear Nude Makeup, $42, available at Sephora.
