Fashions Night Out DC - FNO Georgetown

With so many neighborhoods and stores celebrating Fashion's Night Out in the DMV, we’re having a seriously hard time deciding which shops and shindigs to visit on Thursday night (we know, we know – first-world problems). Luckily, we've checked out all the options and selected our favorite deals, events, and discounts. You can bet that this is the best shopping you’ll do this year — and for once, you can justify it as "boosting the local economy." So, pick out some gorg footwear you can walk in, and click to plan your celebration of local fashion.

In the District:
Georgetown will be buzzing with dozens of events on Thursday. Stores along M Street and Wisconsin Avenue (and all in between) will offer discounts and freebies (like complimentary facials at Kiehl's), and you can’t miss the pop-up outdoor parties — think full-fledged disco fest hosted by the Fatback DJs in the parking lot of PNC Bank (at Wisconsin Avenue and M Street NW, 7-10 p.m.) or the Brightest Young Things lounge on the Dean & Deluca patio (3276 M Street NW, 7:30-11 p.m.). Some of D.C.'s chicest denizens are setting up at the Georgetown showroom for Swiss beauty brand Alchimie Forever. You'll find lovely shoes from Simply Soles, beauty must-buys from Alchimie Forever, free eyebrow shaping from Karma Erwin Gomez, and vintage clothes and accessories from Butler & Claypool, plus Fresh 94.7's Kelly Collis holding court. 6-10 p.m.

Heading north from Georgetown, Neiman Marcus Mazza Gallerie in Friendship Heights is a one-stop shop for FNO fun. Come for the trend presentations, beauty tips from the pros, cocktails, light bites, music, and all the fashion you can handle — and you’ll get $50 off regular-priced purchases of $350 or more. 10 a.m.-8 p.m.

Outside the District:
There's a lot happening outside the city, too. Old Town Alexandria's shops, salons, and restaurants are hosting a bounty of cool events and offering steep discounts. Be sure to check out the fashion show at Torpedo Factory Art Center, which will be emceed by Monte Durham of TLC's "Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta." You’ll score complimentary beauty treatments, wine tastings, and appetizers. 7-9 p.m.; show starts at 8 p.m.

Bellacara, our go-to spot for beauty brands, like Kiehl’s, Skinceuticals, Philosophy, and Dermalogica, will offer complimentary makeovers and a special promotion to shoppers. 6-11 p.m.

You’ll rarely find a sale or discount at An American in Paris, a high-end French boutique with a beautifully curated selection of under-the-radar designer pieces. But, on Thursday, this shop is offering FNO shoppers a one-time-only 20% off discount. Open until 9 p.m.

Calling all mall rats: Tysons Galleria is hosting your dream night. Twenty-plus retailers (including David Yurman, Tory Burch, J.Crew, and Saks Fifth Avenue) will offer special in-store promotions, fabulous giveaways, and fun contests. Don’t miss the signature Fashion’s Night Out cocktail at the Ritz-Carlton. 6-9 p.m.

For our Fairfax friends, Undeniable Boutique is your spot. This Soho-inspired boutique is one of our favorites, and the FNO celebration will close Grand Commons Avenue for a fashion show featuring fall styles and live music. 6-9 p.m.
