You can't always get what you want. But, if you try sometimes, you just might find — wait, we got off track. You can't always get what you want, and on Thursday, September 11, such was the case for disappointed young Madison, a student at Washington, D.C.'s Inspired Teaching School.
She had been told that a special guest was going to help her and other volunteers fill backpacks with books and toys for homeless children. Wide-eyed and brimming with hope, Madison prayed for Beyoncé. And, who showed up? The President and the First Lady. Womp womp.
Madison exercised her right to free speech and told it to the first family straight. She was not that excited to see them. "I understand," the President said. "Malia and Sasha would feel the same way.”
"It's a disappointment!" the First Lady added, revealing she'd rather see Beyoncé, too. Keep wishing, Madison. Shoot for the moon! If you don't land among the (pop) stars, there's always the White House. (ABC)
