What Will Summer Be Like Without Bachelor In Paradise Scandals Like These?

Yesterday, we learned that a scandal of catastrophic proportions had halted production of Season 4 of Bachelor in Paradise.
"We have become aware of allegations of misconduct on the set of Bachelor in Paradise in Mexico," Warner Bros. said in a statement on Sunday. "We have suspended production and we are conducting a thorough investigation of these allegations."

Misconduct shutting down filming, you say? But Bachelor in Paradise has built its legacy on questionable behavior. Each season, the most notorious and beloved characters from the Bachelor and the Bachelorette drink, date, and canoodle at a tropical resort. Bad behavior is as guaranteed on Bachelor in Paradise as sunburn and hangovers.
Because of DeMario Jackson and Corinne Olympios' encounter, we're faced with the devastating prospect of a summer without paradise. But let's stay optimistic. After all, all of the following scandals have rocked the Bachelor in Paradise world, and still, the franchise keeps turning.

Marcus and Lacy had a fake wedding.
Season 1

While Bachelor in Paradise actually has produced two successful pairings, Lacy Faddoul and Marcus Grodd are not one of them.

At the end of the season, the couple was wed in an intimate beachside ceremony. After less than a year of "marriage," Faddoul and Grodd split up.

Here's the shocker: Grodd revealed their Mexican marriage wasn't technically official. "When we came back, we were supposed to start the paperwork," Grodd said, "but she stalled."

Michelle Kujawa, the audio guy, and two broken legs.
Season 1

Contestant Michelle Kujawa hit it off with someone in Paradise — only he turned out to be the show's audio technician, Ryan Putz.

The night Kujawa voluntarily left, she and Putz decided to fit in one last romp. Then, a producer knocked on Kujawa's bedroom door, interrupting their canoodling.

Out of fear of losing his job, Putz climbed onto the room's balcony. He fell 25 feet down, broke both legs, and then got fired.

Carly missed her brother's wedding to go to the fantasy suite.
Season 2

During her first season of Paradise, Carly Waddell missed out on her brother Zak's wedding so she could go to the Fantasy Suite with Kirk DeWindt.

Waddell later wrote in an Instagram post, "For those wondering…I DID get to go to my brothers wedding reception in Texas…My brother was SO excited for me to go on Paradise and find my OWN love story, just like he did."

Juelia got played, big time.
Season 2

Kind, widowed, single mother Juelia Kinney thought her relationship with Joe Bailey had potential. Turns out, Bailey was playing Kinney to bide his time until Samantha Steffen arrived to Paradise. Unsurprisingly, Kinney was devastated when Bailey suddenly ditched her.

Bailey and Steffen had been texting the entire time — and Chris Harrison has the proof.

Chad got a time out from Bachelor Nation.
Season 3

Chad Johnson's reign as the Bachelor Nation villain came to a close after his aggressive, drunken Bachelor in Paradise rampage. Johnson refused to apologize for his offensive actions, so Chris Harrison kicked him off the show.

Wearing his best dad face, Chris Harrison calmly looked on as Chad hurled colorful insults.

"You don’t even watch this," Johnson said. "You went to sleep last night with a mimosa and a robe on. F— you, dude. Go drink your mimosas. You think this is all fun and games? This is my life."

Emily and Haley Ferguson's dates couldn't tell them apart.
Season 3

We already knew Bachelor Nation had a problem with conflating the twins into the same entity. During opening credits on Bachelor in Paradise, the twins were introduced as "the Twins," whereas the other candidates got a name.

Playing along with their reputation, Haley and Emily decided to pull a switcheroo on Brennan. While innocent, the trick effectively proved that the contestants didn't always view the twins as individual human beings.

Grant and Lace got matching tattoos, then broke up.
Season 3

Grant Kemp and Lace Morris's booze-soaked Bachelor in Paradise relationship had many highlights, including Grant's declaration of love in a hot tub. But the best part? The couple got matching "Grace" tattoos, perhaps in an effort to solidify their celebrity couple name.

Unfortunately, they broke up long before the nickname could stick.

DeMario and Corinne engage in poolside "misconduct."
Season 4

Though details are hazy, it seems DeMario and Corinne's poolside tryst has halted production on Season 4 of BiP.

While we don't know what, exactly, occurred between the contestants, this Instagram indicates that Olympios is home and no longer filming.
