Solange turned 30 on Friday, and her turn up was, as expected, fabulous. I mean, just looking at the photos, I instantly felt myself coated in a brilliant, glittering sheen of Black Girl Magic.
First, she kicked off the weekend with an inspiring note that marked all of her life's major accomplishments, from the birth of her son to purchasing her first house and the two years where she "wiled the hell out." She also casually threw in there that she just finished her fourth album, 72 hours before turning 30. NEW SOLO ALBUM SOON? Here. For. It.
Then she headed to New Mexico for a Southwestern-themed lituation. Accompanying her on the journey? Big sis Beyoncé, of course.

The weekend included a gorgeous brunch with her family and friends, including brother-in-law Jay Z (so glad that tiny little elevator incident is long forgotten). And then there was a chill session at the pool that has me ready to call all my girlfriends for a getaway, stat.
At one point, there was even a color-coordinated dress code! (!!!!)
And of course, the birthday girl looked super-fly the entire weekend.
