Here’s James Franco Playing Gossip Girl‘s Blair Waldorf (XOXO)

James Franco has played everything from a hiker to a drug dealer to himself, and now he's taken on one of his most challenging, albeit bizarre roles yet: Gossip Girl's Blair Waldorf. The latest season of his online series with AOL, titled Making a Scene With James Franco, has the Oscar-nominated actor playing iconic TV characters and putting them in some unlikely circumstances. (See: the star playing Sex and the City's Carrie Bradshaw falling for Breaking Bad's Walter White, whom he also plays.) The latest episode finds Franco playing the mean, but fabulous Blair Waldorf (originally played by Leighton Meester, of course) and takes her out of the Upper East Side and into the wild, wild west. While Franco has the attitude down pat (all while expertly explaining what Instagram would have been like back in the day), we've gotta say, Meester probably would have pulled off that country-inspired bustier a little bit more convincingly. It's all very bizarre and still oddly kinda hot, just like Franco himself. Watch the clip below.
