Which Movie Fits Your Personality Best?

Okay, not all Pisces like water and have a weird thing with feet. And there are certainly a handful of Leos that don't enjoy flashy gifts and having their egos stroked. But using one of the 12 zodiac signs as a fun way to filter and refine tastes and perspectives can help you, you know, discover new things. Which is why we spoke to our very favorite star-gazers, The Astrotwins, to help us create The Ultimate Movie Horoscope Guide for the summer.
Taking the criteria established by the Twins, R29's entertainment team then picked three movies for all the earth, air, water, and fire people out there: A go-to classic, a hidden gem, and the perfect summer flick for each sign. So, go ahead, and let the stars give you their own astrological watch-list for some warm-weather watching.

Aquarius:
Bring on the special effects! Aquarius is the sign that rules the future, and big-budget science fiction films are right up their alleys. Robots, spaceships, and talking computers might just provoke their own internally inventive natures.

Pisces:
Fairies and werewolves and pixies, oh my! Pisces is the sign that rules escapism, so try out a fantasy genre-flick. As the sign that rules the sea, mermaids and underwater adventures are also welcome additions. Torturous stories of star-crossed lovers — with fairy-tale endings — are right up sentimental Pisces’ alley too, since they tend to be hardcore romantics.

Aries:
Aries is ruled by warrior planet Mars. They dig action and adventure movies with great fight scenes — everything from hair pulling cat-fights to martial arts to epic weapons battles. If there is a brilliant, all-out war (of the worlds, genders, or historical figures), Aries will be right at home. Also, Aries can be the power femmes of the zodiac, so an ass-kicking female lead is a crucially appealing addition.

Taurus:
Pragmatic, grounded Tauruses are concerned with due process. They like to understand the rules — even if they wind up breaking them. Gritty crime movies are great fun, especially when the cop has an emotional backstory. Or head in the opposite direction: They'll love anything set in Medieval times, when chivalry and nobility were front-and-center.

Cancer:
Sentimental Cancers love a good tearjerker, whether it comes with subtitles or not (though, it should). This is a seriously feminine sign of the zodiac, so a three-hanky flick with a strong, inspiring female lead would get them to the theater. They don’t mind a sad ending either...it only gives them something to muse over in their melancholy moments.

Leo:
Leo is the Hollywood sign of the zodiac — the bigger, the better, when it comes to special effects, explosions, and movie studio budgets. They’ll be the first ones at the theater for the summer blockbuster, buying popcorn and anxious for the previews. Animated movies also appeal to their eternally youthful vibe.

Virgo:
Virgos are the realists of the zodiac and love a good art-imitates-life story detailing an everywoman’s journey through relationships and life passages. As the sign of service, they like to be inspired by documentaries that show the human spirit conquering over greed.

Libra:
For Libras, at trip to the theater is about pleasure, inspiration, and escape. Some days, a fluffy, sentimental rom-com is just what they need to lighten the moods. When they’re in an artsy state, they'll love films with gorgeous visuals. Lush rockumentaries or biopics about a groundbreaking artist may be ideal, since Libras love people and their stories.

Scorpio:
Bring out the vampires, zombies, and misanthropic teens. Dark indie flicks appeal to the Scorpio sensibility — they are not afraid to explore the hidden or taboo side of life. (Hello, Maleficent!) Dark comedies are great too, as this sign can find humor in life’s shadows. A great erotic scene is a plus — since Scorpio is the famous “sex sign.”

Sagittarius:
Sagittarius is the zodiac’s traveler, so a movie needs to transport them into new vistas. Foreign films are an easy bet, or movies with great, expansive travel scenes. As the zodiac’s ambassadors, they love to experience cinema from a culture that is not their own.

Capricorn:
No story is too epic for Capricorn, the sign of the tenacious mountain goat. If it has “trilogy” written all over it, Capricorn will be ready to wait. What seems like a slow moving plot only gives Cap an opportunity to savor every detail and pick up on the symbolism embedded in each scene.
