29 Stores D.C. Needs To Shop Right Now, Plus Exclusive Deals

DC_stores
What a lot of visitors to the nation's capital don't get is that we're not all all White Houses and beige trousers, around here. In fact, the diversity of the Washington area might — just maybe — rival that of New York City. Where else can you find foreign dignitaries discussing matters of state near a boutique that stocks international design powerhouses? When R29 decided to settle in the Capital City, we knew we couldn't transport our New York framework two hours south; this type of variety and creativity needed a real trailblazer.
Luckily, we found just the gal in Holly E. Thomas, our D.C. editor who captures the best the city has to offer, while constantly pushing the envelope. When we asked her to pick her 29 favorite stores in the area, she had plenty to offer. As she said: "My favorite aspect of editing the D.C. site for Refinery29 is the incredibly diverse array of boutiques and stores that exist in a relatively small city — there's really something for everyone, and the hunt is half the fun of it. We're also lucky to have new shops and designers and creative people springing up in D.C., which means there's always something new to discover." So, see which of our Stores We Love you won't be able to live without. And there's no time like the present to start exploring, especially with killer (and R29-only) deals like these.
