9 Fragrances Refinery29 Editors Wear All Year Long

In this world, there are two kinds of people. On the one hand, you've got the folks who live for summer. They stockpile sunscreen and string bikinis in their straw totes, eager to cut out of work early to snag a spot by the pool before sundown. Then you've got my crew. We love crunching on leaves in our leather booties, and layering scarves over warm, fuzzy turtlenecks. And yes, we live for a good pumpkin spice latte, thank you very much.
But, that doesn't mean that both parties can't love the same fragrance. In fact, some of our favorite, traditionally "fall" scents actually smell better in the summertime when your skin is a little hotter and sweatier. And, they're perfect to buy now — since you know they'll transition perfectly to the next season.

"This has all the warm, heady characteristics you’d expect from a winter fragrance — like suede, iris, and musks — but the softer vanilla note makes it feel more suited for a picnic in the park than a spot in front of a fireplace." — Kelsey Castoñon, beauty news editor

Viktor + Rolf Magic Dirty Trick Eau de Parfum, $220, available at Saks Fifth Avenue.

"I'm a jasmine freak — if it's in a fragrance, chances are I'll like it. But I haven't found anything as potent as Jasmin Rouge, which I've been wearing for the last five years. It's a little spicy, but it mostly just feels like a warm hug of the flower and amber. It's best in winter, I'll admit, but that doesn't stop me from wearing it all through the hot months, too." — Alix Tunell, senior beauty editor

Tom Ford Jasmin Rouge, $225, available at Sephora.

"Givenchy's Dahlia Divin is a sexy, warm scent that only gets better in the heat. When I start to sweat, the plum note really comes alive and gives it this subtle fruity effect that doesn't happen when I wear it in the winter. It's really sweet though, so I won't spray it if I'm going outdoors or I'll be eaten alive by mosquitos." — Cat Quinn, beauty director

Givenchy Dahlia Divin, $90, available at Sephora.

"This is, in my opinion, is the jewel of Derek Lam's fragrance collection. Somehow it's light and fresh, but also musky and sexy." — senior beauty editor Lexy Lebsack

Derek Lam 10 Crosby Blackout, $85, available at Sephora.

"Tom Ford's perfumes are inherently warm and sexy, but this oriental floral is something special. It's spicy and earthy, but features bright florals and citrus to make it totally wearable in the summer. That is, if you can bear to spray it for any time other than special occasions." — Lebsack

Tom Ford Shanghai Lily, $230, available at Sephora.

"I'm not usually into sensual or musky fragrances, but there's something about Calvin Klein Deep Euphoria that makes me want to wear it year-round. The scent takes everything you thought about rose (powdery, overly floral) and turns it on its head. Instead, the rose notes are mixed with an aroma of musk. The first whiff of it smells strongly of rose, but has a subtle warmth that settles into your skin for the long haul." — Mi-Anne Chan, beauty writer

Calvin Klein Deep Euphoria Eau de Parfum, $72, available at Sephora.

"When I'm at my boyfriend's house and need a fragrance, I love dabbing on a little of his cologne. There's something kind of sexy about wearing your S.O.'s scent. On him, it's woodsy and musky. On me (especially when it's hot out), the vanilla note is more prominent and smells sweeter." — Quinn

The Art of Shaving Bourbon Amber Cologne, $60, available at The Art of Shaving.

"This musky, woodsy scent is so light, you can wear it all year round. It doesn't smell like a season — it just smells like sexy, warm skin. I haven't found one person who doesn't love it." -Quinn

Byredo Mojave Ghost, $150, available at Byredo.

"I've been wearing this fragrance for years, and it never gets old. It's the perfect blend of light, summery rose and earthy, moody, and wonderfully deep amber." — Lebsack

Balenciaga Florabotanica, $105, available at Sephora.
