Now that you know how to deal with sweat, why not take your run outside? Running on the beach is a great way to take advantage of the summertime (and your vacation). Running on the beach is especially appealing thanks to the additional resistance training it offers. That being said, you want to make sure the sand is providing the right kind of resistance and not taxing your muscles so much that you'll be laid up for the rest of your beach trip. First, consider where on the beach you're running — the closer you are to the water, the wetter and more packed the sand will be. You'll have a firmer, safer running surface that still gives you additional strength training.

Also, keep the incline of the beach in mind. Do your best to find the flattest part of the beach, and then, just to be safe, run back the way you came to ensure a well-balanced run.
