The 30-year-old Nigerian American calls New York City home, and the mix of both worlds is evident in her wardrobe. Playful jumpsuits, head-to-toe prints, and silk turbans — there's nothing this woman won't wear. Except, perhaps, a pair of stuffy, unflattering black trousers. Well, that's where our friends at LOFT come in to play.
The company has just changed the pants game by creating bottoms with thigh-trimming tricks, bum-enhancing back pockets, a more secure and wider tummy-tucking waistband, and so much more. Knowing she'd be up for the challenge, LOFT tasked Adaeze to break the traditional image of trousers and prove that they should not be relegated to the office by creating three fashionable outfits for work, play, and everything in between.
Read on to see Adaeze knock a pair of maroon pants straight out of the workaday park.

We're pretty stoked about this outfit, can you tell us more about this print-tastic look?
"My work look is a fun mix of prints [with a pair of ] bold maroon pants. They're comfortable and I dig the color. There are so many ways to incorporate style into your office-gear, and this outfit is a great example of that."

Most women don't wear pants for a night out, how did you break the mold with this pair?
"For evening, I paired the maroon slim-fit pants with a casual gray tee. I dressed up the tee with this awesome tweed jacket to really get it ready for a night out. A chunky, gold necklace, jeweled clutch, and vintage pumps finished off the look!"
How do you work these pants in with your current style?
"The maroon hue is not overpowering so you can use it like a neutral, then add other colors and prints. I love African prints (I'm Nigerian) and I'm obsessed with turbans. I'm even coming out with my own turban line this year. When mixing prints, it's all about balance. I used girly prints for work, and more bold mixes for the night and the weekend. If you've got that, you're good to go!"

Well, this is obvious — do we need to ask who inspired this particular look?
"I was inspired by Audrey Hepburn for my weekend outfit! I chose a black-and-white striped boatneck shirt and leopard flats to accompany the maroon pants. This outfit is fun for errands, brunch, and shopping."
What's the one thing you love about these pants?
"I love that they lent the right amount of color to each look, and I love the straight cut. Before, I hated trying on pants. I'm curvy with a small waist and a big butt, so pants never seemed to fit the way I'd like. Now, that's changed."
