Shop It NowSee The Snaps From Our NYC Makeover Tour
Last week, we and the beauty experts of BUXOM cosmetics boarded one very big, black bus and steered straight into the heart of Manhattan with only one goal in mind — hooking up as many of you beautiful New Yorkers with free makeovers and BUXOM beauty products as humanly possible. As you can see in our slideshow, our team delivered, remaking friendly faces with BUXOM’s Color Choreography Eyeshadow palettes (available only at Sephora...and on our bus), meeting new people, and handing out free totes, treats, and BUXOM products at Washington Square and Madison Square parks. Best of all, we managed to capture a few before-and-after snaps to show you the amazing work BUXOM cosmetics stylists did. Amazing! By the end of the day, we were very tired but oh-so-happy to have brought smiles (and lipcolor) to so many faces.

Celeb Stylist Melis Kuris Handles Her Day-Glo With Care

Believe it or not, it’s been 30 years — an entire generation — since GUESS’ original, three-zip Marilyn jean put their mark on fashion forever. To celebrate, the brand is going back to its roots with a new campaign featuring the star of its classic ads, Claudia Schiffer, and releasing a limited-edition line of updates on their iconic pieces. To join in the festivities, we snapped 30 of our favorite fashionable friends wearing the vintage-inspired 30th anniversary collection and asked them what GUESS means to them. Thirty women, 30 days, 30 sexy years of GUESS.
For more about the collection and GUESS’ 30th birthday, go to www.GUESS1981.com.
Name: Melis Kuris
Ten-Second Bio: Splitting her childhood between Turkey, Texas, and New York supplied this Cali-based celeb stylist with a global view of fashion that she now applies to print and screen projects. Her love for fashion is rivaled only by her passion for French bulldogs, music, wine, and chocolate (but not necessarily in that order).
Favorite ‘80s memory: "The music. From open windows, car stereos, boom-boxes, and MTV, I remember the way the music of the time influenced everything from politics to fashion. It seems impossible to think of the '80s without the play button to its soundtrack being pressed."

Favorite GUESS memory: "The triangle and how important it was to see it, to feel it on your butt, and know what it meant. It wasn’t a brand to me — it was a statement of the times, who I was, and where I was going. Yeah, I was a child — but that made GUESS that much more important back then."
Favorite returning ‘80s fashion trend: "Neon in small, well-thought-out doses. A highlight here, an accent there — it’s all about the details (even the day-glo ones)."
Drew Anniversary Top , $79, available at Guess.

Name: Camilla Romestrand
Ten-second bio: Camilla — aka, musical act Eddie the Gun — has hopped from her native Norway to England to New York, following her dreams, which are all starting to come true.
Favorite ‘80s memory: "My mum’s hair. It was spiky, short, and bleached blond with dark roots. Classic!"

Favorite GUESS memory: "I remember one shop in my town having GUESS jeans, and they had the beautiful poster of Claudia Schiffer outside, which is why I’m wear the Claudia shirt. Love it!"
Favorite returning ‘80s fashion trend: "I’m a fan of big jackets with shoulder pads. I’ve been wearing them for years, so it’s cool that they’re back."
Anna Boyfriend Tee, $44, available at Guess.

Talia Fabrizio’s Childhood Doll Was Chicer Than Yours

For more about the collection and GUESS’ 30th birthday, go to www.GUESS1981.com.
Name: Talia Fabrizio
Ten-second bio: "With two elegant and stylish Italian parents — and I mean stylish as in a leather-pants-and-stiletto-shoes-wearing mother and a custom-made-Italian-suit-wearing father — there was no doubt I’d follow in their style steps. I was already dressing up in my mother’s clothes at age three, then I tried to start my own fashion magazine at 10, did a modeling stint during college, and wound up working New York Fashion Week and taking fashion safaris to Europe’s trendiest cities. It was only natural that my journalism/marketing degree lead me to start a style blog."

Favorite ‘80s memory: "Being born? Well, besides that, it would be the first time I went on an airplane. My parents, who were quite up on the trends themselves, made sure that I was just as dapper even at the age of four. I had on a little blue dress with folded-over lace socks and white buckled shoes, and I carried my doll, Allison, who was equally as stylish in my hand-me-downs and a hot-pink scrunchie that held her hair in a sideways ponytail."
Favorite GUESS memory: "Ooh, that’s a toughie! I was so young during the ‘80s. But I did receive a GUESS stationary notebook in the '90s when I started my GUESS obsession. It was so chic and every few pages there were black-and-white GUESS campaign photos. It was so darn pretty that I never wrote in the notebook so as not to ruin it. To this day, not one drop of ink has hit those pages."
Favorite returning ‘80s fashion trend: "Neon, neon, and more neon."

Favorite GUESS memory: "What comes to mind first about GUESS in the '80s are those perfect, iconic Claudia Schiffer ads. Although, my favorite GUESS girl was always Anna Nicole."
Favorite returning ‘80s fashion trend: "Skin-tight, high-waisted pants. It's a sexy, figure-flattering look I've always been fond of."

Follow Blogger Jenny Ong's Instagrammed O.C. Adventures (...And Score Some Swag…
Like most style bloggers we know, Jenny Ong — the California cutie behind Neon Blush — is a total Instagram addict. Enablers that we are, we asked her to grab her smartphone, don her favorite on-the-town look, and show us a good time in her 'hood via the photo-sharing app. In this case, Ong chose A|X Armani Exchange’s prettily patterned Pop Print Tank and matching Layered Graphic Miniskirt before hitting the town, phone in hand. Between the bold colors, beer, BBQ, and blogger BFFs, she certainly delivered a night worthy of a big, fat "like."
Now it’s your turn to join in on the Instagram fun. Snap a pic of yourself wearing your best printed looks inspired by this piece and tag them with #AXSpotted. We'll reward the iPhone or Android photog whose pic captures the most "likes" with a $200 A|X gift card — just enough to snag Jenny’s look!

Name: Caroline Knapp
Ten-second bio: "I’m a Texas transplant living in New York City working as a fashion buyer by day and a personal-style blogger by night. Between work and blogging, I’m always immersed in fashion, but it never gets old!"
Favorite ‘80s memory: "My older sister and I are less than two years apart, so growing up I would always sneak into her closet and steal whatever I could get my hands on — jelly shoes, stirrup pants, hair bows (the bigger the better), and colorful socks (to layer, of course) — and hope she didn’t notice until we got to school and it was too late to do anything about it."

Favorite GUESS memory: "Very few brands are as iconic and representative of a decade as GUESS is to the ‘80s. My favorite denim was a pair of tapered-ankle, acid-washed GUESS jeans. Back then, you didn’t have a different wash, cut, and style for every day of the week, so those jeans made plenty of appearances in the family photo album. I also can’t forget the triangle GUESS logo T-shirt. I bet there was is at least one kid in every class picture sporting the GUESS logo tee!"
Favorite returning '80s fashion trend: "I’m a huge fan of the denim jacket — it’s such a versatile and timeless piece. My favorite way to style it is by throwing it over a floral summer dress during the cooler spring months. It’s the best way to play down a dressier piece."

BarIII At The Flea: Dani Hits L.A.'s Rose Bowl Flea Market
Round two of the BarIII Flea Market Tour lead us across the coast to L.A. Nestled between scenic mountainsides, the outdoor Rose Bowl Flea Market was a little slice of vintage heaven filled with shoppers showing off their eclectic sartorial tastes. The flea featured tons of vendors selling all sorts of treasures —vintage clothing, antique furnishings, and even '70s-era metal lunch boxes. I got to bond with awesome bloggers Sincerely Jules and L.A. Fashion Snob at the BarIII tent, and took my "lunch break" to do a little (well, a lot) of vintage shopping. I left with some denim cut-offs, a floral romper, a vintage YSL blazer, a denim bomber jacket, and some weathered rocker tees. While in town, I made sure to stop by L.A. hotspot Katsuya for a bite to eat, and ended my night at the Mondrian SkyBar to see my girl DJ Lindsay Luv spin for a stylish crowd. As much as I loved my trip to the West Coast, I'm definitely ready to come home to the city that never sleeps. Next stop, Chicago!
