For the sake of our hair, we're holing up inside today to avoid the oppressive humidity and constant drizzle. But we’re not letting a little gray weather get us down, because we know the official start of summer is right around the corner. Our preferred way to prep for the sunny days ahead? Treating ourselves to the bright hues and flirty silhouettes in designer Eva Franco’s summer collection, which is in stock and ripe for the picking at Periwinkle in National Harbor.

On Thursday, the boutique is hosting a trunk show of the designer's latest wares, and offering up a 25% discount on purchases made during the event. We've collected our favorite must-see frocks — perfect for work, date nights, bridal showers, you name it — here for your viewing pleasure, and we're betting that you'll leave the shop with more than just one of these confections in hand.

    When: Thursday, June 14, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Where: Periwinkle, 160 American Way, National Harbor, Oxon Hill; 301-567-5242.
