The dog days of summer have arrived! This past Saturday, four-legged friends of all shapes, sizes, and breeds hit their boards for the seventh annual Dog Surfing Competition in San Diego. The muts mastered the art of hanging ten as onlookers witnessed the record-breaking rides.
The K9s battled it out at the ASPCA fundraiser for the top dog title in three heats, then put their paws on a custom-made board that supported over ten of 'em at once, which marks a new world title!
What's next for man's best friend? Well, we've heard a puppy pyramid is in the works for next year, and fingers crossed we'll be seeing more Fido-focused activities. Because, let's be honest, we're totally on board with any sport that's gone to the dogs. (Laughing Squid)
