Crystal Renn is one of the world's most famous—and concordantly, vocal—plus-sized models. After battling anorexia, Renn wrote a best-selling book, Hungry, which focused on the unhealthy relationship between the fashion industry and body image. The latest photographs of her taken by Nicholas Routzen for nonprofit Fashion for Passion capture Renn as a much smaller version of the photograph of her on the Hungry book jacket. In fact, looking back at her editorials since her book was published, Renn seems to have shrunk from her groundbreaking Bazaar Australia shoot, and subsequently gets smaller with each passing appearance. You can track the weight loss from her Elle Canada editorial and her spread in V's size issue, to her appearance on the Chanel resort '11 runway and now these two shots. We're hopeful that her experiences with her weight and the industry's seeming readiness to begin really discussing and utilizing plus-sized models like Renn has made this weight-loss a healthy one. But no matter the case, we're sad to see one of full-figured fashion's most iconic faces fall to the waif-side.
