Today, for your daily dose of rhyming: DewDrop presents a clothing swap and pop-up shop. Got that? The mission of local lifestyle brand DewDropDC is to make scouring for vintage, secondhand, and recycled clothing as chic and stylish as swiping your plastic for new threads at Barneys. And while swapping may not give you the same hedonistic rush as dropping a month's rent for the latest It bag, it also won't double your credit card bill or leave you looking like everyone else on the block. Here’s how it works: Snag a $10 ticket for Saturday's swap, and head to Hillyer Art Space with at least five items you're ready to swap (tickets are $15 if you're not bringing anything to trade). Then, shop the collective wares of other District do-gooders. Anything remaining at the end of the night will be donated to the Goodwill of Greater Washington. How easy is that? And if swapping alone doesn’t satisfy your consumer cravings, you can also browse the collections of several local indie designers and vintage collectors, including QuarterLife and Ciao Nina. When: Saturday, November 12, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Get there early and you’ll be rewarded — the first 50 guests get a swag bag.
Where: Hillyer Art Space, 9 Hillyer Court NW. Get tickets here.
