Those of us who have yet to hop aboard the online-beauty-shopping train tend to have one major reservation: What happens if a product arrives and it ends up looking terrible? Much like buying produce, purchasing makeup and skin care is a very tactile experience. You can't just look at an image on a screen and know if, say, a lipstick's right for you. So, what's the solution when you get something and it's just wrong?
Figuring out how to make that "wrong" product look right is always an option. But, if you want to just get your money back and move on with your life, that's possible, too. While not all e-tailers will accept opened or used beauty products, many will. We rounded up our favorite online retailers that allow customers to return gently used products — we're also giving a shout-out to along with their wares that we're currently obsessing over — so everyone can shop a little bit smarter.
