At this point, we trust that United Colors of Benetton knows how to keep us on our toes. The brand's done everything from smooching world leaders to enlisting an inspiring, unexpected cast of models — some professional, some not. But, for the summer collection, it stayed a bit closer to home. And, by home we mean the Italian coastline.

Shot in Capri, images from the new Benetton collection showcase effortless vacation gear. In fact, it's all the essentials: shorts in an array of cool blues and greens; printed, spaghetti-strap dresses for when the Southern Italian heat doesn't allow for anything more; and white, cotton, light-as-air separates that can just as easily be worn over a swimsuit as they can to dinner.

There isn't really anything groundbreaking from the Italian brand for summer '14, but, rather, this lookbook is a testament to the mix-and-match, live-in (and, yes, vacation-in) pieces the label does so well. Now, excuse us while we mentally transport ourselves to Grotta Azzurra as we click through ahead.
