Listen Up: Band Of Horses’ “Everything’s Gonna Be Undone”

There are some nights that will miraculously sparkle in your memory, even sans Instas, Tweets, or any other attempt at permanently etching an experience in the wild world of cyberspace (or your hard drive for that matter). Well, no photos were allowed or necessary at last week's KCRW's Berkeley Street Sessions featuring Band of Horses, a private show (only 200 peeps!) hosted by none other than our hunk of a resident DJ Jason Bentley — the sounds will forever resonate in our souls (seriously, it was the harmonies our dreams were made of).
And, while we were amped on grooving to "No One's Gonna Love You" and headache-later-style bobbing to "The Funeral" — we can't shake one tune from playing on inner-repeat and now on every iProduct we own! Whatever the impetus was for penning "Everything's Gonna Be Undone" (track number eight on the band's freshly dropped "Mirage Rock"), we felt like Ben Bridewell and the rest of his bearded backups were giving us permission to own those moments when you're just a hot steamy tub of turmoil. With sinewy lyrics like "How'd you get to be wound so tight/Never seen somebody such a mess/Try you will and you try you might/We be falling..." set to the band's signature stirring mountain-man sound, it's just the kind of melody you need when mayhem hits. To sum it up, think of Band of Horses and a well-poured glass of vino as your next best bet to a trip to the therapist!

Catch the entire show for yourself on Morning Becomes Eclectic on October 15, and you'll know exactly why we're so gushy.
