Studio Mucci's Amina Mucciolo started the brand in 2011 with the motto, "be your fucking selves." BYFS might not have the same ring to it as YOLO, but it's a message we can get behind.

"Art and creativity have always been a huge part of my identity," Mucciolo said in a press release about the collection. "It’s always been a quiet dream of mine to work in an artistic field, but I never really had the courage to truly pursue it. My current career is basically a dream come true."

The faded shores, pastel-hued coastlines and dreamy landscapes of photographer Tessa Neustadt's work bring to mind circa-1970s California cool. It's a fitting aesthetic for Los Angeles-based Neustadt, who has a knack for mixing contemporary design with vintage decor.

Baggu designer Ellen Van Der Laan has helped founders Joan and Emily Sugihara cater to the brand's rapidly growing fan base.

"Dusty, muted, and soft tones have been pretty popular around the office lately," she told Urban Outfitters about trends the team is keeping an eye on. "[And] vertical stripes. Forest green is also on the Baggu brain."
