UPDATE: Bobby Brown's attorney, Christopher Brown, has issued a statement in favor of the court's ruling to keep Bobbi Kristina Brown's cause of death sealed. He also spoke out against Nick Gordon, who is being sued for wrongful death by her estate.
“In regards to the civil litigation, we believe we know who harmed Bobbi Kristina Brown, and his name is Nick Gordon," Brown, of Brown & Rosen, told Refinery29 in a statement. “Mr. Gordon made headlines when he filed his Motion to Dismiss the lawsuit pending in Superior Court that seeks to hold him responsible for $40 million in damages. However, the Motion was frivolous, and instead of having it heard by the Court, he has chosen to withdraw the Motion, ending that matter so that he could avoid having to give his deposition, which was scheduled for the day he withdrew the Motion. Mr. Gordon will now have to give his deposition under oath.
"I am not shocked at the withdrawal, as we must keep in mind that Gordon filed a lawsuit to remove Bobby Brown as Bobbi Kristina’s guardian, only to withdraw that lawsuit in DeKalb County Probate Court once he was served with a deposition notice," Brown added. "He could have pressed forward with that lawsuit and told us under oath what he believed happened to Bobbi Kristina, but he chose to go in another direction.”
Bobby Brown added his own comment.
“I look forward to having the Court hear the evidence in the civil lawsuit and hopefully, the criminal action, very soon," the singer said.

The 22-year-old daughter of Bobby Brown and the late singer Whitney Houston died on July 26. She had been in a medically induced coma for six months.

"The Fulton County Medical Examiner has classified the cause and manner of Bobbi Kristina Brown's death," the office said in a press release obtained by CNN. "However, a Fulton County Superior Court Order dated September 25, 2015, has been received, sealing the autopsy report and ordering the medical examiner to not release any further information to the public."
Brown was found unresponsive in a filled bathtub on January 31, nearly exactly three years after Houston died in a similar incident. Her estate is suing boyfriend Nick Gordon for wrongful death, alleging that he beat Brown before giving her a "toxic cocktail." The case against Gordon will, of course, hinge on Brown's exact cause of death.
