'Tis the season for all the pumpkin spice latte news ever. Following on the news that Starbucks will now be using real pumpkin in its popular seasonal beverage, the coffee chain has announced that the pumpkin spice latte will hit stores nationwide on September 8. A few lucky customers will get "early access" on September 4, NBC reports. As Grub Street pointed out, this is one of the few instances when Starbucks has pushed back the release of this fall favorite. Last year, the PSL was released on September 2, with early access on August 26. But since Labor Day falls later this year, the PSL will follow suit. So, how does one get their hands on a PSL if you're really aching for it? In the past, Starbucks fans have been able to gain possession of the beverage early if they have a high reward status, or if they complete an online scavenger hunt. If you're too lazy to fulfill those requirements (or any new ones Starbucks might throw at you), just make your own with this recipe here.
