Taylor Swift Is Launching A Clothing Line — But There’s A Huge Catch

Today, in news we should've seen coming: Taylor Swift, smartly dressed individual and BFF of just about everyone in the fashion industry (or any industry, for that matter), is trying her hand at clothing design. According to Bloomberg News, the 25-year-old singer's debut line will be sold exclusively on JD.com, China's second-largest e-commerce site, later this summer. Good thing she already has the perfect soundtrack for it. Set to coincide with the arrival of Swift's 1989 tour in Shanghai in the fall, the collection of "dresses, sweatshirts, and other tops" will launch in August, Bloomberg reports. But don't get too excited at the prospect of Swift-approved matching sets, as there is a catch: Because the line is targeted specifically at Swift's fan base abroad, odds are you won't be able to get your hands on it stateside. Cue this gif. No word yet on the coordinated-separates situation, but odds are that Swift's personal signature will make its way into the lineup. We'll just have to soak our tears in our Taylor-branded tour T-shirt and sweatshirts for now.
