J.K. Rowling Regrets Killing Off This Harry Potter Character

The Harry Potter series has seen a lot of death, but, for author J.K. Rowling, most of the victims fall into the "sorry not sorry" category. Still, there is one character she feels guilty about sending to an early grave. No, it's probably not the person you're thinking of.
Of all the characters dispatched to the big Hogwarts in the sky, it's Florean Fortescue who Rowling regrets killing the most. Who, you ask? You know, the very minor ice-cream-parlor owner who briefly appears in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban before meeting his end at the hands of Voldemort's Death Eaters in The Order of the Phoenix. Yeah. That dude.

"I seemed to have him kidnapped and killed for no good reason," Rowling admitted on the Pottermore site. "He is not the first wizard whom Voldemort murdered because he knew too much (or too little), but he is the only one I feel guilty about, because it was all my fault."
Hmmm. Aren't all of the deaths technically Rowling's fault, given she's written them all into existence? We've got your number, Jo. (Business Insider)
