Despite the fact that we now have an entire search engine dedicated to porn, finding the perfect video can still be a challenge. A new crowdsourced adult site hopes to change that: It's sort of "like PostSecret for porn," says The Daily Beast.
Through the site, XConfessions, users can submit fantasies or true tales from their own sex lives (anonymously, of course). From there, filmmaker — and founder of the site — Erika Lust creates two short films per month using the confessions as inspiration. The original submission is displayed next to the finished video along with Lust's commentary on her creative process. As she explains on the site, XConfessions hopes to move away from the "stereotypical porno-glam and porno-cheap imagery flooding the Internet" and instead create "sophisticated and innovative" porn that users are actually asking for.
It's about time. While many women definitely watch porn, it's still a male-oriented industry. So, a site dedicated to turning female-centric, crowdsourced erotic ideas into on-screen reality is more than welcome.
