T-minus seven days 'til Halloween! If you're still trying to decide what to do, don't even think about staying home and doling out fun-sized Twix bars. Over the next week, L.A. has so much going on that you'd be crazy not to throw on a costume and take full advantage — the FOMO will be very real if you skip out on the action.
We rounded up the best events our city has to offer, including a slew of costume parties, an all-night horror movie marathon, a Day of the Dead festival, and a vintage costume pop-up. The Rise Of The Jack-O'-Lanterns

Who could resist a duo of Kimye-carved pumpkins? These are just a couple of the insanely cool jack-o'-lanterns that will be on display at The Rise. Stroll through the scenic trail to see more than 5,000 hand-carved pumpkins created by professional artists and sculptors.

Halloween Pop-Up At Recess

Costume designer Sophie de Rakoff and Hollywood hair stylist Anne Morgan have teamed up to produce a pop-up shop featuring amazing vintage Halloween costumes and hand-crafted wigs. Never settle for standard-issue Party City wares again.

The Natural History Museum's Spider Pavilion

The Spider Pavilion features over 300 types of arachnids, including this eight-eyed jumping spider — isn't he a beauty? Watch the spiders spin their fascinatingly intricate webs while you brush up on your arachnid knowledge.

The Shining Screening

KCRW's Masquerade

The radio station's 6th annual bash will boast a whopping 12 DJs to keep you dancing all night. A costume contest, burlesque dancers, aerialists, and guest musicians round out the awesome event.

Do you love Tim Burton movies as much as we do? Don't miss this concert featuring Danny Elfman, who has written the score for almost all of Burton's films. The event will include songs and visuals from Batman, Edward Scissorhands, Beetlejuice, The Corpse Bride, and more. No promises, but don't be surprised if Burton himself makes an appearance to support his longtime friend and collaborator.
