    You’ve heard it before, but we’ll say it again: Your wedding is about you — not how much money you spent on vases of tiny cacti. And, as the Internet has made us fully aware with all its wedding DIYs, getting hitched on the cheap is definitely doable. The question is: How far would you go?

    Probably not as far as these intrepid brides, who made wedding gowns out of something most of us (hopefully) have laying around the house. As participants in Cheap Chic Wedding’s 10th Annual Toilet Paper Wedding Dress Contest, brides-to-be were allowed unlimited rolls of TP, tape, glue, and a needle and thread. That's all. But, that didn’t stop these crafty ladies from draping, ruching, and mermaid-skirting their ways to nuptial-fashion success. These dresses may not be Vera Wang, but they sure are dresses — which is more that we can say for our TPing skills. From a skirt that has tiers of perfectly placed ruffles, to a baby-blue number with an Elizabethan collar, the winning looks are, well, something else.
