While we rarely leave the house without mascara, it's one of those beauty staples that comes with its own unique set of anxieties. Between the clumps that always threaten to appear and how very quickly our lashes can turn from luscious to spidery, this is one product we'll probably always have to apply very, very carefully. Not to mention the potential catastrophe that accompanies trying to put mascara on our lower lashes — talk about a recipe for raccoon eyes.
Our beauty director Annie worries that applying mascara to her lower lashes looks too obvious. So, we called in makeup artist James Vincent to give her a judgement-free tutorial on the best way to apply lower lash mascara — and you can bet we're all taking notes.
