Forget stars, we've got stripes in our eyes, and the culprit remains the same. Hot off the success of their first collaboration, Vans and Kenzo are teaming up for a second time to remix the sportswear company’s original “sole-houette,” the Authentic sneaker, by injecting it with design master, Kenzo
’s graphic patterns and punchy colors. The sneaks borrow the bright stripes and floral prints from Kenzo’s pre-fall and fall ’12 collections.
While the fellas first got a taste for Kenzo's sweet rubber-soled sneakers
, now it's the ladies' turn to give them a spin. After all it’s perfectly acceptable to borrow a boyfriend’s blazer, button-down
, or baseball cap, and style it in our beloved boy-meets-girl
way, but it’s a bit harder to pull off a sneaker if it's several sizes too large. Thankfully, these worries are in the past.
Where we once pined from afar, now both sexes can get in on the anything-but-boring footwear. Priced at $125, Van x Kenzo will drop in mid-August and be available in Kenzo stores, online
, and in other retail locations, including like Opening Ceremony, Colette, IT, Liberty, and Selfridges. Hop ahead for all six styles that have us hyped.
